As we all know that Comments are one of the most important thing for any blog and also more for a Wordpress blog.Especially if you own a huge blog with many visitors and commenter’s, the comment section design, the easy usage, the features, even the security is very important. So today I will post a List of 12 Plugins which helps in increasing comments on your blog as well your comments section looks good.

Comments For Wordpress

WP Ajax Edit Comments

WP Ajax Edit Comments allows users and admins to edit comments on a post. Users can edit their own comments for a limited time, while admins can edit all comments.

WP Ajax Edit Comments

Subscribe To Comments

It’s hard to keep track of all the comments you leave around the blogosphere. Subscribing to comments lets you keep track of the most important ones. At the very least, this is a good way of bringing people back to your blog.

CommentLUV

CommentLuv tries to find the commenter’s RSS feed, and from that it will post their latest headline underneath their comment. Readers will see that their blog gets more exposure on your site, and they may take note of that.

Comment Rating

Allows visitors to rate comments in Like vs. Dislike fashion with clickable images. Poorly-rated & highly-rated comments are displayed differently.

@ Reply

This plugin allows you to add Twitter-like @reply links to comments. When clicked, those links insert the author name and a link to the comment you are replying to in the textarea.

SEO Super Comments

For each user comment plugin will create a new dynamic page on the blog, holding the actual comment information. This page will not actually exist in WordPress database, but we will create it dynamically using a WordPress plugin.

What we instantly get in this way is big jump in site’s index visible to search engines. This is possible because blog comments are crawl-able, index-able and most importantly rank-able content. Also meaning you will start to get search engine traffic for the context of the comment.

NoFollow Free

This Wordpress plugin remove the “nofollow” attribute from your wordpress blog’s comments (precisely from the author’s links) and/or from the comments text links and it inserts (if you want) an image band at the top of your pages with the phrase: “NOFOLLOW FRE” to encourage your users to submit comments. The last release includes new options to replace the nofollow only when the author posted X comments before and put back the nofollow when some blacklisted words are matched. The replacement of the nofollow is also based on the users type (registered and visitor users). Every option can be customized by the options page “NOFF”.

Wp-AuthorComment

Allows you to uniquely style post author’s comments. Author’s comments are highlighted so author’s replies do not mix with other comments.

Live Comment Preview

Live Comment Preview is the simplest way to get live comment previews on your site. Simply activate the plugin -That’s it! This plugin uses only client-side Javascript to format a preview, it does not make any Ajax requests to the server. This provides a smooth live preview as you type.

IntenseDebate Comments

IntenseDebate Comments enhance and encourage conversation on your blog or website. Custom integration with your WordPress admin panel makes moderation a piece of cake. Comment threading, reply-by-email, user accounts and reputations, comment voting, along with Twitter and friendfeed integrations enrich your readers’ experience and make more of the internet aware of your blog and comments which drives traffic to you.

GD Star Rating

GD Star Rating plugin allows you to set up rating and review system for posts, pages and comments in your blog. I featured this plugin some time ago already, but this is totally related to comments.

Advanced User Agent Displayer

The Advanced User Agent Displayer plugin displays the Browser and the operating system of people who comment on your blog. Currently Support for Desktop and mobile operating systems and browsers. The supported Browsers are Internet Explorer, Opera, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Epiphany, Avant, Maxthon, Konqueror and supported Platforms are Windows(2000, XP, Vista, 7), Linux, Mac, iPhone.

I suggest you to add all as they have cool features and really help you growing your blog’s comments. What do you think? :D

Great list Sahil. I @Reply plugin, but sadly it doesn’t work for me (conflict with other plugin). And BTW, Intense Debate CommentLuv is available now (http://comluv.com/news/intense-debate-commentluv-coming-soon/)

Comments really helps creating community around a blog or site. These plugins are there to do the same. You may try some of them and check the load time, if it permits you to have the plugin then go ahead and use them according to your need. Nice collection Sahil, Thanks for sharing the list

I think you should add up another plugin called ReplyMe. This would automatically send a reply message whenever there is someone answering any comments.

Wow great list out there. ‘Subscribe to Comments’, ‘Comment Luv’ and ‘GD Star Rating’ are very useful, and make the comments section very interactive and also attract the readers to put there comments. Thanks for sharing Sahil.

Some nice plugins listed. I posted a review on TwitterLink Comments which helps in showing a link to the users twitter page. I think this helps a bit as users will have an extra benefit for commenting on your site.
