Facebook’s Reply By E-mail Feature Now Online

Facebook is testing many new features recently. And today they launched a new feature that was being tested from last month. With this feature you can reply to any subscribed thread by replying to email notifications. Usually when someone comment on any of your status update or post on Facebook you get an email notification. Using this new feature you can simply reply via Email to reply to any thread you are subscribed or started by you.

While it’s a useful feature, it also means Facebook is sacrificing short-term page views (by forcing you to log in) for more user interaction.

The same can’t yet be said for Facebook’s mail system, which isn’t getting the reply by e mail functionality with this update.

How To Use It?

It’s really simple but I will show you how to use it easily. When someone comments on your status you get a new mail about it. In that new mail you will see a line written something like this : “New Feature: Reply to this email to comment on this post.” Do the same as written just reply the mail and your comment will be posted.

Don’t forget to follow RSS Feed or via E-Mail to get latest feed and also don’t forget to follow on Twitter for latest updates.

I have yet actually tried to reply from email. It’s easier but I just prefer to have everything done within Facebook. :) But, maybe during busy hours this feature can be a real time saver so kudos to FB on this. Wonder if the reply is instantaneous?
